Project Day What a beautiful site it is when on Mother’s Day walking into church we see the backs of the pews covered with
gorgeous quilts. On Project Day, church women meet twice a monthly to piece and tie quilts.
Some quilts are sold so we can purchase supplies. Most are sent to Lutheran World Relief and T he
Salvation Army. Also, baby quilts are made for newborns at the hospital and the LSSI Foster children program.
Great fellowship is had making these quilts as they are made with love.

Women of CBL The Women of CBL
or WELCA (Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) meets the second Wednesday of the month for a light lunch,
devotions, program of interest (crafts, hospital representatives, book reports, etc.) and a business meeting.
The group gives a Lenten stew dinner and serves food after funerals. They hold a fall festival in
September selling bake goods and unwanted treasures and has a Christmas luncheon for the women of the church and woman guests
from the surrounding communities. The group has great fellowship all year round, and membership is
open to all the ladies of the church.
Bible Study There is an adult
forum every Sunday morning. During the month, there are small bible study groups at members' homes.
CBL has Ginny’s bible study, bible study at Bill Couch’s, and a small bible study at church.
Future consideration is being given to an online bible study group on this site.
Crew Day The men of CBL, along with a few women, meet during the month and as needed to take care of various janitorial
and maintenance chores of the church. The morning is usually started with a short breakfast and fellowship.
Eating Well maybe it's not doing the Lord's work, but we do eat. Lutherans are well known for
their ability to eat, and we are no different. The first Wednesday evening of every month is set aside
for a fellowship potluck. On the last Thursday of the month, Lunch Lovers meet for a luncheon at various
area restaurants. Add in the Crew Day breakfast and Women’s Group lunches it seems we do our
best to maintain this Lutheran tradition.
