Team Camp Biloxi
In April of 2007, a team of 13 members of Christ by the Lake took off for a week at Camp Biloxi in Biloxi, Ms. to help with Katrina relief. (Two members of that team previously spent a week in Biloxi this past June.) Their experience was very uplifting - from cooking in the kitchen (to help feed other workers and staff), painting houses, tearing siding off homes, rewiring a house and last but not least, helping an individual move her belongings back to her house. The days were long, but the blessings they received in returned were very gratifying. There is still a lot of work to be done on the gulf coast, and what a better way to show our Christian love than to give of our time and talents. - Reported by Marilyn Pool.
